The Media Image was originally founded in South Africa by Grant Macfarlane in February 2008. Grant then opened up a UK office a year and half latter. Fast forward to 2017 and The Media image is now a multi award winning digital agency with a team of 25 people in its London head quarters , 10 people in its new Cape Town office and a growing presence in New York to service its US clients some of which include Avon and Forex.com.
Founder and CEO , Grant Macfarlane said, ” I am incredibly excited to reopen an office in South Africa where in 2008 I took the step to start what is today one of the UK’s top independent digital agencies. I have to pinch myself sometimes when I look at the growing list of clients we work with across the globe and I am truly lucky to have such a talented bunch of people that make The Media Image so successful.
We have hired extremely smart maths and stats grads in Cape Town to help support the front-line staff in the UK and US. They are smart , hungry and get exposure quickly to the best technology, processes and people. Literally from day one they work on clients with monthly budgets of 20 + million rand and so quickly learn and grow. The Media Image was born in Africa and now returns to its African roots.

Max Brockbank is Head of SEO at The Media Image. He previously served as Global Director SEO at Hilton Worldwide and Senior Client Success Manager at SearchMetrics. As a journalist, Max worked as a reporter and editor with regional and national newspapers including the FT and the Sun, and on global publications such as TIME Magazine.
