Two short weeks ago, TMI celebrated perhaps the most significant event since its founding in 2008. The occasion for celebration was the official opening in New York of The Media Image US Inc, the agency’s American arm. In the same announcement, TMI had the pleasure of logging another achievement that reflected both excellent timing and, more importantly, this agency’s ability to replicate our business model in the world’s most competitive digital marketing arena. This came in the form of finalist nominations in two categories of The Drum Agency Business Awards US – for Best Digital Campaign and Digital Agency of the Year.
On Friday the 15th of November, the news broke that we had won the Best Digital Campaign prize at the awards ceremony held at Ogilvy, NYC the evening before. This win represents a substantive validation of the The Media Image US Inc’s first two weeks in business.
Grant Macfarlane, TMI’s founder and CEO, commented on the win by saying, “This is a really exhilarating time for TMI and I am just delighted about this win. The nomination came at a great time for us as our doors opened in New York. This win is not only the icing on the cake for a new US agency but a fantastic boost to morale and confidence for my staff who have made me extremely proud of and humbled by our collective good fortune.”
TMI’s managing partner, Alistair Albers, who has spearheaded the expansion and new client acquisition drive in America said, “I was on a plane from New York to London when I heard the news and was truly exhilarated by the news of the win. There is no denying that this award comes as a seminal moment in the agency’s history and, underscoring Grant’s sentiments, occasions like this are always an emphatic reminder of the quality of the team we have built and the performance-symbiotic pedigree of our clients.”
