We’re aware of individuals falsely claiming to represent The Media Image and, in some cases, impersonating genuine members of our team.
We have received reports of people being approached about remote or freelance work involving online advertising, social media or other paid tasks. Contact has been made through channels including text message, WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram.
These approaches are not connected with The Media Image.
TMI does not recruit people to complete paid online tasks through messaging or social-media platforms. We will never ask prospective employees, freelancers or members of the public to deposit money, purchase or transfer cryptocurrency, pay to unlock earnings, or make a payment to improve an account or “credit score”.
How the approaches work
In reported cases, individuals have been directed to websites or online platforms using The Media Image’s name and branding. These may display supposed tasks, commissions, account balances or earnings.
The individuals behind these approaches may also use the names and photographs of genuine TMI employees in an attempt to make their communications appear legitimate.
These websites, accounts and communications are not operated or authorized by The Media Image.
How to check an approach
Our official website is https://the-media-image.com.
If somebody claiming to represent TMI contacts you and you are uncertain whether the approach is genuine, please contact us using the details published on this website rather than replying to the person who approached you.
Do not make a payment or transfer cryptocurrency in response to an offer of work or in order to withdraw supposed earnings.
If you’ve already been contacted
Please stop communicating with the sender and do not make any further payments.
Keep copies of messages, usernames, telephone numbers, website addresses, payment details and transaction records. If you have already transferred money or cryptocurrency, contact the relevant bank, payment provider or cryptocurrency exchange and report what has happened.
You can also contact TMI through our official website contact form to let us know about an approach using our name. Reports help us identify and take action against unauthorized websites and accounts.
What we’re doing
We are actively reporting websites and accounts impersonating The Media Image to the relevant service providers and authorities.
The security of The Media Image’s own website, systems and accounts has not been implicated by the information currently available to us. The activity reported to us involves third parties creating unauthorized websites and accounts and using publicly available company and employee information to impersonate TMI.
