Working Hours: UK hours (9am-6pm). Please note this translates to 10am – 7pm / 11am – 8pm ZA time. Flexibility on working hours around core hours can be discussed, subject to manager approval.

About the Role

This role focuses on designing and developing insightful dashboards in Looker Studio to empower data-driven decision-making. You will create robust and scalable data models to support reporting needs, diagnose and resolve data quality issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and enhance dashboard solutions. Working closely with the Data Engineering team, you will define technical requirements to improve data infrastructure and reporting capabilities.

Additional responsibilities include: generating ad hoc reports for strategic initiatives, conducting detailed reviews of manual reporting processes, and identifying opportunities for automation to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

Role Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline).
  • Proven experience working in a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and optimise data retrieval.
  • Demonstrable skill in identifying, troubleshooting and resolving data quality issues within pipelines or datasets.
  • Adept at navigating and understanding the structure of existing data warehouses.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet tools like Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced functions and formula creation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely and independently, prioritise tasks effectively, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively and convey technical concepts to non-technical key stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning, with the ability to self-motivate and work independently.

Desired Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehouses such as Google BigQuery or similar platforms.
  • Programming skills in Python or JavaScript, with the ability to develop scripts for automation or custom data solutions.
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles and key performance metrics mainly focused on paid media.
  • Familiarity with web and app analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics or AppsFlyer, and their role in measuring user engagement.
