Two days ago, we were in the fortunate position of being able to announce our two shortlistings in the DRUM US Search Awards for joint submissions we made with our client Refinitiv. As such, we are thrilled to report that this good fortune has continued. Today the shortlists for the UK Search Awards 2018 were published online and TMI has been shortlisted for 3 awards, including the highly prized category of Best Large PPC Agency. This significance of this shortlisting is that as recently as March 2017 we were celebrating a shortlisting in the Best Small PPC Agency category. 18 months later, the growth in our staff complement and client list has facilitated a very significant change in this regard. We set out to scale our operations and it is very satisfying to have done so.
The second shortlisting was in the Best Use of Search – Gaming category for a submission entitled The Media Image & PlayOJO – The Rise and Rise of the Fair Online Casino. This entry was a case study in scaling successfully while maintaining efficiencies and helping build a new casino in an industry with high competition from already established brands. This time last year the OJO brand was just over 6 months old, and a relatively unknown entity in an extremely competitive space. As the brand grew, it weathered a huge influx of competitor traffic and TMI still managed to grow traffic through the channel and keep results well within the core KPI’s. Growing spend by 65% YoY shows how much faith the business had in the channel and our management, especially against such demanding targets.
The third shortlisting was in the Best Use Of Search – Real Estate & Property category for a submission entitled The Media Image & Uncle.co.uk – Brand Penetration in the UK Retail Space. When TMI onboarded this account they had no digital marketing experience, and their brand isn\’t known at all in London so we had two intentions – grow brand awareness and scale the account. This we did emphatically by growing conversion volumes MoM since paid management began while lowering the CPA in each of those months.
